Evidence for coyotes in Michigan
A coyote was captured in Wyoming, MI in May, 2008 after jumping a 6 foot fence.
The Coyotes have dispersed into southern Michigan without assistance from the Michigan DNR; they helpfully note that the animals are "difficult to distinguish from a medium-sized German shepherd dog from a distance."
