The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) manages state parks, hunting and fishing licenses, and wildlife management thorughout the state of Michigan.
At various times in the recent past, the department has been either separated from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) or merged with it (as DNRE, Department of Natural Resources and Environment).
