Robert Asprin (b 1946-06-28 St Johns, MI; d 2008-05-22 New Orleans, LA) was an American science fiction author, best known for creating the Thieve's World series and writing the MythAdventures and Phule novels. He was active in the early years of the Society for Creative Anachronism under the name "Yang the Nauseating" and co-founded the Great Dark Horde in 1971.
