Michigan Part 201 Contaminated Sites

  • description: Users should not rely upon the information in the database regarding current environmental conditions of the soil or groundwater at any location. Database entries for pollutants and references to contamination status may be inaccurate.It is presented for parties that are conducting due diligence review of properties. No specific legal significance should be attached to any location on this list. The Remediation and Redevelopment Division stopped populating the database after the December 2010 amendments of Part 201, Environmental Remediation of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended This list is not a complete inventory of Part 201 facilities. There may be locations on the list which may not be facilities as defined under Part 201.The 2010 Part 201 amendments required the DEQ to publish a facilities inventory and the amendments eliminated the Part 201 Sites list. The DEQ�s current databases do not enable the creation of a facilities inventory at this time. The DEQ is pursuing the development of a new database to create a facilities inventory.Persons using this information are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate Remediation and Redevelopment Division District Office for current information regarding known environmental conditions at any property or location.
