June 25, 2010. SUMEDH BAHL NAMED NEW COMMUNITY SERVICES AREA ADMINISTRATOR*

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 25, 2010 — The City of Ann Arbor recently promoted Sumedh Bahl to Community Services Area (CSA) administrator. He will be responsible for overseeing the functions and staffs representing the units of community development, parks and recreation and planning and development. Bahl has served in this role, in an interim capacity, since Jayne Miller’s retirement from the city in February 2010.

Prior to the interim CSA appointment, Bahl worked at the City of Ann Arbor Water Treatment Plant for 20 years — the last 13 of which he’s served as unit manager. Prior to the interim assignment, Bahl lead several work improvement projects in areas outside of Public Services. He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a licensed professional engineer with the State of Michigan.
