History

Buffalo International Film Festival was founded in 2006, and had its inaugural festival in June of 2007 with a "Student Films Across America" screening. In 2008, it expanded to screen over 25 films that included both regional and national premieres. Since then, it's continued to grow in international visibility and in the range of films featured.

Partnerships & Venues

BIFF collaborates with several organizations in Buffalo to present its programming. The North Park Theater has been a long time partner for the festival, presenting most of the feature screenings and several of the shorts programs. Other partners include organizations that focus on experimental media and art. Festival partners include:
