The Buffalo Six, aka Lackawanna Six, Lakawanna Cell, or Buffalo Cell) is a group of six Yemeni-Americans who were convicted of providing material support to al-Qaeda.

Six of the Lakawanna Cell (Mukhtar Al-Bakri, Sahim Alwan, Faysal Galab, Shafal Mosed, Yaseinn Taher, and Yahya Goba) were arrested and convicted.

Muktar al-Bakri was arrested by Bahrainian police and the other five were arrested in Lackawanna, NY in September of 2002. Another member, Jaber A. Elbaneh, escaped from the US, was later jailed in Yemen, escaped from that jail and turned himself back in to Yemen authorities.

The FBI held a press conference in Buffalo on September 14, 2002 to announce the arrests of five local al-Qaeda suspects.
