Ben Franklin was a five-and-dime store located in the North Valley Plaza in North Chico. They sold a wide variety of items such as school and stationery supplies, toys, arts and crafts supplies, clothing, fabric and sewing items, etc. They also had a pet section (fish, turtles, mice, and hamsters and their supplies), and a full-service candy counter. It later sold only arts and crafts supplies.
