The Main Street Strip is the segment of Main Street between Third Street and Fourth Street usually referring to the east side of the street where the bars are.
The Main Street Strip features, on its north end, the brick Auditorium Building containing the Crazy Horse and 33 Steaks Booze and Jazz. In the middle, there is Lost on Main, The Underground and the Towne Lounge. On it's south end there is the Leininger Building containing Duffy's, Melody Records, and the Chico Beat.
This is the main area of nighttime activity in the city. Most of the people who catch a cab out of the downtown, are doing it from the Main Street Strip.
