The Shimmies is an indie band from Chico that has broken beyond the local music scene to tour the West Coast. The band consists of the following members:

• Jimmy Galloway - Vocals, guitar, piano
• Sean Galloway - Vocals, guitar, piano
• Stephen Galloway - Bass
• Jack Gingerich - Drums

The band won the CN&R CAMMIES award in 2008 in the indie/experimental category.
