Flyering is the first form of Free Community Advertising that Chico Wiki has undertaken. It's inexpensive and generally pretty effective since posting is free and Chico is loaded with places to do so. If you want to help advertise Chico Wiki, you can start by taking a look at our Logos. Then make your own flyers and post them here to get a bit of feedback. A really fun thing to do to help advertise the wiki is to create Wiki Desktop Wallpaper so all your coworkers, friends, and family will know about us!

The First Flyer

StaceyEllis created the very first wiki quarter flyer on January 6, 2007:

In addition to posting on various community boards Downtown, this flyer was placed in small stacks at friendly places like <s>Pommes Frites</s>, The Naked Lounge, Melody Records, and the Chico Peace & Justice Center on January 16, 2007.

Tear Off Flyer

The tear off flyer is a version of the above flyer, modified by StaceyEllis and RyanMikulovsky. Its intent is to help remind people about the site through the use of little tear offs.

Article Count Flyer

This one has been posted in various places around town during May 2008. StaceyEllis based it on a similar design used by Davis Wiki some years ago, which can be found on their wiki flyer page. By the time these actually found their way to bulletin boards, the count had already been surpassed...

Summer 2008 Flyer

This flyer was created as a hybrid with bits and pieces of the ideas from previous flyers (such as the cloud of words and the handy tear-offs) with some new phrasing as well. This was posted around both Chico State and various downtown locations, but is versatile enough to be posted pretty much anywhere in town.

Spring 2009 Flyer

A little more simple than some previous attempts. Leaves a lot for the reader to figure out, hopefully by visiting Chico Wiki! Made in two versions: half-page with tear-offs for hanging on bulletin boards and quarter sheet for handing out and/or setting on the counter at local businesses.
