Since its inception in 1906, the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra has been a central component of the performing arts program in the Willamette Valley and a major contributor to the vibrant cultural life in the region. Concerts feature musical works both familiar and challenging, and frequently highlight soloists of local or international renown.

Choral music is often included, under the direction of Dr. Steven Zielke, director of choral studies at OSU. Special programs for children and families compliment the season's program of classical orchestral music.

The 108th season (2013-2014) of the Corvallis-OSU Symphony features an 80-member orchestra drawn from Oregon State University students and faculty, community members, and professional musicians, and led by music director and OSU music professor, Dr. Marlan Carlson.
