The University Archives, located in room 146 Main Library, provides access to primary sources relating to the University of Illinois and its faculty, staff, and students.

Established in 1963, these archives include more than 25,000 cubic feet of records, publications, and personal papers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus, which is searchable in their database. This is one of three locations for archives on this campus. The other two are the Sousa Archives (located in the Band Building) and the Student Life and Culture Archives (located in the Old Horticulture Field Lab).
