2008-01-12 08:56:53   Although Davis offers many, many good Thai restaurants I must say I think this place has the best Thai food in town. I love the spicy eggplant. Never had a bad dish here. I recommend it highly. —KarenEmbry

2008-02-09 18:13:29   The food here was totally disgusting and unacceptable. —StellaChiara

2008-02-09 23:25:31   The food and the service is great here. My family and friends especially love the food and will definitely come back for more. —makiko

2008-02-17 21:49:04   Thai Nakorn is definately the best restaurant in Davis. :D I go there at least two to three times a week. It beats all of the Thai restaurants in Davis by FAR! Try their selection of curries. They're the best! I especially enjoy their green, red, and duck curries. After you eat at Thai Nakorn, you definately will not like any other Thai restaurant for the rest of your life for nothing can beat Thai Nakorn. Their Thai iced tea is also really good. Prices are good. The food is awesome. Why go anywhere else? xD I always take new friends and family to this restaurant because I know for a fact that it's a restaurant in Davis that won't disappoint. —BigRedGum

2008-02-17 21:54:22   Uhhh, to Stella and the other stupid guy, you must be mistaken because Thai Nakorn's service is extremely quick compared to Thai Bistro. When I went there, they took at least 45minutes to get my food on the table and it wasn't even that great. To the spice, you probably made the stupid mistake of ordering something spicy, so of course it would taste that way. Next time try something more mild, like their yellow curry, which is extremely mild. If that's still too spicy for you, then damn, your taste buds are just out of wack. —BigRedGum

2008-02-17 22:18:52   Even tho I'm in grad school now, I always try to stop by Thai Nakorn when I'm passing through for some awesome food. Awesome food, good service, clean building. It works. —DMT

2008-02-18 00:24:36   Reasonably priced Thai food, better service that 2K Thai, tasty curries—overall, a really mice ;[ace to go out with friends and eat. —mishal

2008-02-20 04:59:03   I was going through the reviews of all the thai restaurants in davis, and I noticed that there are two people that completely trashed 2k Thai, but gave overwhemingly fantastic reviews for thai nakorn? also, one of those people has been warned not to alter negative reviews on this very page. now, im not making any accusation, but it LOOKS like theyre using sabotage and other shady techniques to give thai nakorn a boost.

As for the food here at thai nakorn. its not too bad. i would say that its the most authentic thai restaurant, but certainly not the best in town. the service was just about average because the folks arent like the typical snappy asians at most asian restaurants. however, you can totally tell they arent trained to please customers. —echelon

2008-02-23 10:37:50   I haven't been to too many Thai restaurants or have eaten enough of it. However, I think I shall try some more dishes after eating here. The duck curry is my favorite. I brought my family here and they all loved it. —Johnkenny

2008-02-23 15:20:50   I don't get all this talk about which Thai restaurants are "authentic". What does that even mean? The same as Thai people eat in Thailand? Which Thai people? —KenjiYamada

2008-02-24 02:15:13   My favorite Thai food in Davis so far! Delicious Pad Kee Mow noodles with tofu (minus the egg), & they said they could make their curries without the fish sauce. Yay! The green curry was great— spicy & aromatic. The service has been friendly every time. I get out of work late sometimes, & they have always been very accommodating when I ordered food to go 1/2 hour prior to their closing time. Decent wine selection with very reasonable prices. They even made a Thai Iced Tea with coconut milk for me when I said I was vegan. Usually, I just skip the cream, but the coconut milk was a tasty treat! —AprilAries

2008-03-06 16:49:26   My boyfriend and I always go to Thai Naikorn when we're in the mood for Thai. This is probably the best quality thai food place that you can get for it's price. I personally prefer Thai2k, but their menu is wayyy too expensive. Try the duck curry at Thai Naikorn. It's great. —SmartenU

— What do you consider "wayyy too expensive"? -hapa21

2008-04-06 19:36:09   The Duck Curry is delicious, although the portion is a little small. The Pra Ram (choice of meat in a peanut sauce) is also tasty. I found it to be creamier than the Pra Ram served at Thai Bistro, which is the Thai restaurant I usually go to. I would not recommend the Thai Fried Rice, as it was a little bland when we had it. However I do enjoy their Pineapple Fried Rice (which contains raisins and nuts). —at86

2008-04-12 22:17:01   Perhaps I came on a bad night, but I was kind of disgusted by the food I ate here. I got Pad-Se-Ew noodles (my favorite thai dish) and they were swimming in sauce, and when the menu says a dish has "vegetables" apparently what they mean is soggy cabbage and 2 pieces of broccoli. Good portion sizes, fair prices, but I won't be coming back here due to poor food quality. —SRB

2008-05-15 18:10:38   The lady there (owner?) is always very friendly, and very nice towards kids. The food tends to be on the sweeter side, compared to other Davis Thai places. Davis has so many other Thai eateries that you're quite sure to find a place that you like, though. —youkai

2008-06-07 19:36:25   I'm a sucker for thai food. This place is a bit sweeter than your usual place. Although I like more authentic thai places (like the ones in thai town in LA), I consider this the best thai comfort food that I've found. —atwong

2008-06-18 15:44:11   The lady there (owner?) is always very kind to kids, and the stuff there is not too spicy, which suits our taste. —youkai

2008-06-21 15:04:01   Decent enough food, not as good as Sophia's. Service was not fantastic. Had to wait a bit longer than we would have liked for our food. When it did arrive, one dish was made with shrimp; we ordered chicken. We only ordered water to drink and had to keep requesting that our glasses be refilled. —NoWayJose

2008-07-05 14:56:19   My significant other and I are fans of thai nakorn. The owner Pim is such a great person. She is very friendly. The food there is pretty good and has to be my favorite thai restaurant in davis. Tom Kah is my favorite soup there. Their lunch specials are cheap! If you like eggplant, then I recommend the eggplant lover. Their fried basil and chicken appetizer is also good and their garlic seafood is also good. Drunken Noodles and Dry Curry are other favorites. Service is not bad. —islandboy12

2008-08-04 02:58:15   This place is not just the worst Thai place i've eaten at, but it's the worst restaurant i've been to, period. I went here with my girlfriend; i had the prikh king with pork, and she had the yellow curry. Her potatoes were mushy, and the curry had no spice to it whatsoever. Mine was much worse. I hope that the pork was bad, because it had the worst stench to it. If it was good pork, then i really think they should reconsider switching wherever they get their meat from. At first i thought it was just the piece i had, so i tried another, to no avail. They all had the putrid smell of unkempt pork. So i decided maybe it wasn't a complete waste, maybe the vegetables would be ok. The sauce was so overwhelmingly sweet that it wasn't even worth eating. And to top it off, the glass of water i had to drink to wash the horrible taste of the meal was never refilled. My girlfriend couldn't finish her meal either, and suggested we ask for the check when they filled our waters. I agreed, but the server never came nor made eye contact. This was literally the only time i have ever had to go to a server to ask for a bill, and the first time i have ever tipped less than 15%. —daovis

2008-09-12 15:33:39   definitely one of my favorite thai restaurants in davis. the owners are really nice. the good is wonderful. what more can i ask for? prices are cheaper than other thai restaurants in davis, and for the quality of the food, it's a good deal overall. highly recommended! —jinhwang

2008-11-13 15:46:30   I love this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal, but the best is the Mango Chicken! —sah133
