Denton's drum circles are pretty happening.

Drum Circles happen every Saturday night on the lawn of the Courthouse. Random people can borrow instruments and play along, or dance to the collective grooooove.  They most frequently meet starting 9:30pm-11pm on Saturday nights. Adults and children are encouraged to participate. South side of the square.
