RE - VISIONING MEETING OF PEACE ACTION DENTON

All interested in exploring a range of peacemaking activities, local and beyond,
are welcome to attend this reorganizational meeting, to be held Thursday Aug. 16 at 6:30, Fellowship Hall, Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2200 Bell Ave. in Denton.

On a national level, Peace Action is the largest grass roots peacemaking organization in the country, addressing issues related to peace and justice. While it is issue and action oriented , and in that sense political,  it is not partisan.  On the local level, the Denton chapter is ten years old. In earlier years, Peace Action Denton was awarded a national award for its active membership. It is now time to re-vision and prioritize.  With questions, input, more information, feel free to contact the following: Paul O’Neal, ([email protected] or 940-595-7435) or Jean or Dawson Tunnell ([email protected] or 940-387-9404) .

This meeting is open to the public, new members, new ideas and energy. Light refreshments will be available. The mood will be hopeful, in the light of the following quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.: “The arc of evolution is long,  but it bends toward justice!”
