A voluntary organization of the Detroit Public Schools that seeks to put large numbers of reading tutors in Detroit schools. Participation requires a background check and 2 hours of training.

The first call for volunteers was sent in December 2009. In 2010, 2,000 individuals had been approved as tutors. In 2011, the number dropped to 1,000 due to school closings, shrinking enrollments, and other factors.
