The house at 169 Park Avenue (now 416 Park) is said to have been built by Harry Truman's Secretary of State Dean Acheson for his daughter Mary, a TB patient. The source is Dr. Leonard Bristol's daughter, Noreen Bristol Oslander, whose family later lived in the house. Mary Acheson Bundy was a patient during World War II. If the house was built for her, there may be an issue of street number changes. As the cure cottages listed above predate this house; they may refer to another location.
