Other information: Later, according to the postcard above left, this house was operated as "Stern's Nursing Home, for the aged, Men and Women, Bed-side care and 24 hour nursing service. Kindly and courteous attention at all times. Margaret Stern, 20 Helen Street, Saranac Lake, N. Y., Phone 100." Note the Palladian window, veranda and sleeping porch, since removed.
From the NRHP nomination: "A two-story wood-frame residence erected on rectangular footprint and covered by a hipped roof. Asymmetrical fenestration includes a “Chicago style” window to the west of the entrance and a box bay window at the southeast corner. Alterations include the removal of a Palladian window and porches; wood clapboard siding, mix of original and replacement wood windows, asphalt roof.
