SARANAC LAKE — Barbara D'Onofrio, 60, of 35 Prospect Ave. died Sunday afternoon at General Hospital.
Mrs. D'Onofrio was a life resident of the area and served in the Women's Army Corps in World War II.
She was a member of the Merchant's Bowling League.
Mrs. D'Onofrio was born in Keene, the daughter of Harry and Florence (Hartson) Hale.
Survivors include her husband, Salvadore D'Onofrio, whom she married in 1946; a sister, Dada Shaw of Saranac Lake, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Fortune Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Timothy Chambers officiating.
Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
