Charles Derby was a photographer in Morrisonville, New York. He briefly owned a studio in Saranac Lake which he sold to Charles S.W. Baldwin in 1892.  He made annual photographic visits to the Paul Smiths region

The Adirondack Museum has twenty-one glass plate negatives that he shot in the St. Regis Lakes region c. 1900.
