Charles E. Cataract Dies at His Home

Charles E. Cataract of McMaster Road, Saranac Lake, died at his home early this morning.

Mr. Cataract was born November 16, 1893 in Standish, a son of John and Rose Stract Cataract. He served in World War I and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Saranac Lake. He worked for many years at the Rockefeller camp.

Survivors are his wife, the former Anna Siltz; four brothers, James of Redford, Eli of Saranac Lake, Frank of Cadyville and Victor of Saranac Lake; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Gilbert of Camden, N. Y.; four step-children, Mrs. Doris Slater of Saranac Lake,Mrs. Winifred Slater of West Palm Beach, Fla. , Mrs. Ellen Owens, South Hampton, L. I. and Edgar Redman of Hamilton, O. Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

There will be a VFW service Sunday night at the Keough and Son Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p. m. starting this evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John of the Wilderness Catholic Church on Monday morning. Burial will take place in May in St. John's Cemetery.
