Dagwood's Deli and Pizza opened in 1973 was owned by rugby player Mike Beglin. Chuck Simpson bought it in 1974. Michael John Simpson was the manager in 1980. It closed in 1993.
CLOSING DOWN — Dagwood's officially closed its doors last week as one of the area's pizza places. Once a butcher shop and a grocery store through the 1960s, the retail space that housed the pizza parlor now contains a few tables and chairs and a sign that reads "for lease."
