The Champlain Gun Club holds its regular annual tournament on Thursday of this week. Two cups will be contested for, the Robin Hood cup, by several teams and the DuPont cup by the clubs from Saranac Lake, Plattsburgh, St. Albans and Champlain. This last is a new cup, put up by the DuPont Powder Co., to be shot for by the four clubs at four contests, the club, making the most "kills" in the four shoots to own the cup. The Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club has been notified by the Laflin & Rand Powder Company that they will donate one of the DuPont trophy cups to that organization to and Gun Club, the Champlain Gun Club, the Malone Gun Club, the Mountain View Club of Saranac Lake and the St. Albans Gun Club. The cup will be competed for by amateurs only, the competition to continue during the months of July, August and September. At the expiration of this time the cup is to become the property of the club with the highest score.
