SARANAC LAKE - Edward Costigan, 74, of 61 Bloomingdale Ave., Saranac Lake died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997 at Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid where he. had been a resident since March 27, 1997.
Born May 8, 1923 in Long Island, he was the son of William and Margaret Costigan.
Mr. Costigan was a banker in New York City until moving to Saranac Lake in 1986. He was a veteran of the U.S., Army, and served during World War II. He was a member of St. Bernard's Church.
Mr. Costigan has no surviving family members. He is survived by many friends in Saranac Lake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Tuesday at the Uihlein Mercy Center Chapel in Lake Placid with the Rev. Patrick O'Reilly officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Uihlein Mercy Center in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home.
