Technician Fifth Grade Edwin R. Noyes was a World War II veteran; he was killed in action in the war. He was a son of Mr. Fred C. Noyes and Mrs. Blanche Finegan Noyes of Harrietstown.

Tech. Edwin Noyes Killed
Bliss Marie Noyes of Saranac Lake has been notified that her brother, Edwin Richard Noyes, 22, technician fifth grade has been killed in action.
On Sept. 25 Miss Noyes was notified that her brother had been reported missing in action in France since Sept. 9.
Tech. Noyes had been in France since July. He was serving with an armored division in the forward elements of the troops. He enlisted in February, 1942.
He is the son of Fred C. Noyes of Harrietstown and the late Mrs. Blanche Finegan Noyes. Tech. Noyes attended the Saranac Lake High school and was employed at the local bowling alley at the time of enlistment.
