Ellwood G. 'Al' Wilcox

SARANAC LAKE — Ellwdod G. "Al" Wilcox, 70,-Saranac Lake, died Nov. 28, 1990 in Clearwater, Fla.

Born March 17, 1926, he attended Saranac Lake Central School District schools.

Mr. .Wilcox was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Navy at Corpus Christie Naval Air Station in Texas. He was employed at Rochester Products, a division of General Motors, Retiring in 1981 after 28 years.

He was. a member of Northern Light Lodge 505 Free and Accepted Masons of Plattsburgh„a member of Retired UAW and Musicians Union of Rochester where he played guitar professionally throughout the area. He also was a disc jockey for Hobart College Radio WEOS-FM  of Geneva.

Survivors include a twin brother, Ellsworth E. "Red" Wilcox of Saranac Lake three daughters, Lynn C. Bennett of Ontario, Kathleen Ballard of Rock Stream and Cheryl Switzer of Dundee; a stepdaughter, Sandra Feinberg of Wellesley Island; 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a close companion, Barbara J. Walker of Clearwater, Fla.

Mr. Wilcox. was predeceased by two wives, Marilyn Rivers Wilcox, and Francis Sharkey Wilcox.

Memorial ,services in Dundee and Saranac Lake will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be  made to the Northern Light Lodge 505 Free and Accepted Masons, 21 Lozier..St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or to Hospice.
