SARANAC LAKE - Emily Russett Acrivlelis, 81, a longtime resident of Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, June 10, in Stuart, Fla.

She was born in Witherbee, Sept. 2, 1904, the daughter of Julius and Nathalie (Genier) Russett.

A graduate of Columbia University and Indian River College in Ft. Pierce, Fla., she had been a registered nurse at the Ray Brook State Hospital and a teacher in the Saranac Lake School system. She had also owned and operated St. Nick's Motel on Route 3 in Saranac Lake.

Mrs. Acrivlelis was a member of the Civil Service Employees Association; Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Bernard; and St. Bernard's Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a charter member of the Third Order of St. Francis, received into the Order on April 24, 1960 in Saranac Lake and professed on June 18, 1961.

She was married June 25, 1927, to Nicholas Acrivlelis. He died Sept. 4, 1975.

Survivors include a son, John Acrivlelis of Stuart, Fla ; a daughter, Mrs. Berton "Jack" (Rita) Sweeney of Saranac Lake; two sisters, Mrs. John (Clara) Jerome of Vergenes, Vt., and Mrs. Timothy (Wren) Rivers of Burlington, Vt.; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Keough and Son Funeral Home. A combined Bible vigil service with the Catholic Daughters and the Third Order of St. Francis has been set for Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church with the Rev. Frank Coryer officiating.

Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
