Everett M. Brown was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Harry and Jessie (Vassar) Brown.

VERMONTVILLE - Everett M. Brown, 80, of Upper Franklin Falls Road, Bloomingdale, died Thursday, June 10 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Bloomingdale on Feb. 2, 1919, he was the son of Harry and Jessie (Vassar) Brown. Mr. Brown married Mildred Begor on Feb. 1, 1943 in Muskgee, Okla.

Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of the area and was employed at the Ray Brook State TB Hospital as a carpenter for more than 25 years until his retirement in 1973. He was a veteran of the United States Army 88th Quarter Masters Corps, serving during World War II in North Africa and Italy.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of Bloomingdale; two sons, Rod Brown, of Franklin Falls, and Reg Brown of Vermontville; four daughters, Cheri Rowland, of Port Orchard, Wash., Cathie Neigel, of Franklin Falls, Tami Martin, of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Pam Blaisdell, of Silerdale, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton Brown.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours.

Funeral services and interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery in Vermontville.

Friends wishing to remember Mr. Brown may make memorial contributions to the Adirondack Medical Center Dyalisis Unit in care of the Funeral Home.
