SARANAC LAKE - Francis Joseph Hogan, 64, of Saranac Lake died Saturday, Sept. 6, at the General Hospital of Sararac Lake.

He was born in Alder Brook, Nov. 7, 1921, the son of Thomas J. and Anna (Howard) Hogan, and had been a lifelong resident of the Saranac Lake area.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army.

In Saranac Lake, he was employed as a plumber at Sullivan's Plumbing until his retirement.

Mr. Hogan was a member of the Saranac Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3357 and the Saranac Lake Chapter of the Loyal Order of the Moose. He is survived by a brother, Maurice Hogan of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Homer (Mary) Amel of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Raymond (Anna) Madore of Clinton; several aunts, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Keough and Son Funeral Home and include a Bible vigil at 7:30 and VFW service at 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church in Bloomingdale with the Rev. Patrick Mundy officiating.

Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Bloomingdale.

Memorial donations may be made to the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.
