George Stearns of 24 Front Street owned the Western Auto store at 52 Main Street; he was a bobsledder. He served as secretary of the Saranac Lake Boat and Waterways club, and was a member of the local United States Olympic committee.

AD'K BOBSLED CLUB TO MEET SAT. AND SUN.

The annual meeting of the Adirondack Bobsled club will be divided in form this year. The business meeting will be held at the arena at 8:15 p. m. Saturday and a social and luncheon meeting and election of officers will be held at the Majestic restaurant on Sunday. Notices have been mailed to 55 communities in northeastern New York, from Plattsburg south to Troy. The meeting is open to all clubs in the Adirondack region. Donna Fox is the current president and George Stearns is acting secretary.
