Glenn K. Magee was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of William and Hazel (Kirkland) Magee.

SARANAC LAKE - Glenn (Fibber) Magee, 80, of Lake Colby, died Tuesday evening, July 10, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

He was born March 28, 1910 in Rome, the son of William and Hazel (Kirkland) Magee.

Mr. Magee was a resident of Saranac Lake for most of his life land was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy. He was with the National Guard for 24 years, retiring in 1972 as a master sergeant.

He had been a truck driver for the LaPan Fruit Co.; Munn's General Electric and Latour fuel. He also worked in the maintenance department of North Country Community College.

He was married for 54 years to the former Josephine Marello.

She survives.

The Magees operated a ceramics business for nine years until 1981[?] when they opened a fabric shop.

Survivors, in addition to his wife include two daughters, Jocelyn[?] Reynolds of Saranac Lake, Mrs. Jerilyn Fearnley of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons, Scott Magee of Clearwater, Fla., and Barry Magee of Newport R.I.; sixteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, William Magee.

Calling hours will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Fortune Funeral Home. A Bible vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said At 11:15 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Church.

Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Donations in Mr. Magee's memory may be made to St. Bernard's Church.
