Detail from a 1912 Upper Saranac Lake map.Gull Point is on the east shore of Upper Saranac Lake, north of Gull Bay and south of the Narrows.  It is due east of Eagle Island.

John Agar bought Gull Point December 2, 1896, and built Camp Gricoq near the western tip by 1905. Agar was a New York City lawyer who served for many years as president of Protect the Adirondacks. Access to the camp was by water and by a trail leading north from Bartlett Carry.  The first road to reach the point was built in 1953 to allow logging for the Oval Wood Dish company in Tupper Lake.
