Corp. Harold W. Morrow was a World War II veteran. His service was described this way in the Lake Placid News, November 24, 1944 (see Stella Morrow): army, Battery A. 339th field artillery battalion, Italy.  He was a  son of Herbert W. and Stella (Blair) Morrow.

Harold W. Morrow Sr,

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Harold W. Morrow Sr., 67, died Tuesday, April 5, 1983, at Saratoga Hospital.

He was born in Piercefield on Feb. 29, 1916, the son of Herbert W. and Stella (Blair) Morrow.

Mr. Morrow was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. He was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Saratoga Springs. He was a warehouse manager for Morrow Janitorial Services in Saratoga Springs.

Survivors include his wife, the former Marjorie Pelkey of Saratoga Springs; a son, Harold Morrow Jr. of Stillwater; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Marjorie) Clute of Wilton; his mother, Stella Morrow of Plattsburgh; five brothers, Roy of Huntington Beach, Fla., James, Vernon and Frederick of Saranac Lake and Marvin of Plattsburgh; three sisters, Mrs. Bruce (Edna) MacDowell and Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Rupert of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Donald (Erma) Betters of Plattsburgh; two grandchildren, Lisa Ann and Harold Morrow III of Stillwater; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are set for 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Bussing-Cunniff Funeral Home in Saratoga Springs.

Funeral, services are set for noon Friday at the funeral home.
