Henry A. Perrino was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Dominic and Myrtle (Otis) Perrino Reyell.

SARANAC LAKE - Henry A. Perrino, 73, of Gabriels, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996 at the Champlain . Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh.

Born Jan. 14, 1923 in Saranac Lake, he was the son of Dominic and Myrtle (Otis) Perrino Reyell.  

Mr. Perrino was a 1940 graduate of the Roosevelt School of Aviation training in ground school mechanics. He taught ground school mechanics to British Cadets at Carlstrom Air Force Base in Arcadia, Fla. from 1941 to 1945. He moved back to Gabriels and was employed in the maintenance department at Gabriels Sanitarium and later worked in maintenance and as a mechanic for Paul Smith's College for 30 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps.

Survivors include his wife, the former Carol Davis, whom he married May 19, 1945; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Cindie Perrino of Rainbow Lake; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Fred Dempster of Three Rivers, Mass.; and a granddaughter, Kara of Three Rivers.

Mass. Calling hours will be held tonight from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Arthur Goyette, pastor of the Adirondack Presbyterian Church, officiating. Cremation will follow with burial in Brighton Cemetery in Gabriels.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Smiths-Gabriels Fire Department of to High Peaks Hospice in care of the funeral home.
