SARANAC LAKE - Herbert Patnode, 88, a long-time resident of Lake Clear, died Thursday evening, Aug. 22, at Massena Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1897, in Churubusco, the son of Noel and Octavia (Ezrow) Patnode.
Mr. Patnode had worked at Saranac Inn until his retirement.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother, Edgar Patnode, predeceased him.
Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Keough and Son Funeral Home and include a Bible vigil at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at St. Johns in the Wilderness Church, Lake Clear. Father Thomas Moody will officiate at the 10 a.m. service.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Lake Clear.
