John Harlander was a tuberculosis patient from Rome, NY. He came to Saranac Lake for treatment in 1914, staying first at Reception Hospital. He most likely cured at Yorkey Cottage after his initial stay at the hospital. He returned to Rome in 1915 and died in 1922.
