Death of Joseph S. Dukett.
We regret to record the death of our former townsman Joseph S. Dukett which occurred at his home in Saranac Lake village one day last week, of heart trouble and kindred complaints, he being about 57 years of age Mr. Dukett was a painter by trade and was formerly well known here in Elizabethtown and vicinity. He left Eliztabethtown for Saranac Lake in 1888, since which he has made the latter place his home. He was a charter member of Woodruff Hose Company of Saranac Lake and was for years an active volunteer fireman. Deceased is survived by an aged mother, two brothers — Louis of Saranac Lake and Israel of Ausable Forks—and one sister, a resident of Elizabethtown, also a widow, formerly Miss Emma Gowett, and one son and two daughters. Funeral services were held from St. Bernard's Church, of which the deceased was a member.
