Leon R. Redwood was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of John and Sarah Ann Hyde Redwood. He served as superintendent of highways of the Town of Brighton.

Leon Redwood

A funeral service for Leon Redwood, 40, who died Monday, will be held at the Fortune Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Lawrence F. Selig, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will conduct the service. Friends may call at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Brighton Cemetery.

Mr. Redwood was born Nov. 21, 1927 in Keeses Mills, a son of John and Sarah Ann Hyde Redwood.

Survivors are his wife, the former Sharon Otis; his mother; four children, Lycinda, Sherry and Cherry, twins and Lenka. A brother, Louis of Syracuse, also survives.

Mr. Redwood served with the paratroopers in World War II. He was superintendent of highways for the town of Brighton.
