Lina Gardinier Manko owned the cottage at 89 Riverside Drive once known as Balsam Manor, and later better known as the house in front of the Bartok Cabin, a seasonal "shack" for T.B. patients occupied in the summer of 1945 by Bela Bartok and his wife Ditta.

She and her son, who died "right out of high school," according to Natalie Leduc, are buried in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
