SARANAC LAKE - Marjorie E. White, 87, of 42 Bloomingdale Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, at her home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1898, in Lake Clear, the daughter of William and Eva (Otis) Douglas.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and had been employed by the Troy Laundry before her retirement many years ago.
Her husband, James White, died in 1960.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Fortune Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Mechem, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Harrietstown Cemetery in May.
