Raymond A. Bordeau was a World War II veteran.   He was a son of Irving and Velma (Smith) Bordeau.

SARANAC LAKE — Raymond A. Bordeau, 50, of Bloomingdale was pronounced dead on arrival on Saturday morning at the General Hospital.

He was born in Plattsburgh, the son of Irving and Velma (Smith) Bordeau.

Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Jean LaMora; four sons, Bruce of Saranac Lake, Michael of Camp LeJeune, N.C., Scott and Keith, both of Bloomingdale; three daughters, Mrs. Brenda Manor of Kingston, Mrs. Judy Sawyer of Paul Smiths, Miss Renea Bordeau of Bloomingdale; his father of Lake Luzerne and his mother of Ogdensburg; a halfbrother, Brent Bordeau of Hudson Falls; a half-sister, Mrs. Cheryl Robillard of Lake Luzerne; a granddaughter, Amy Manor; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bordeau was a 20-year resident of the area. He owned and operated Ray's Auto Body Shop in Bloomingdale for nine years.

He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1508, the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bloomingdale fire department. He had been a Navy veteran of World War II.

Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the Fortune Funeral Home.

The Bloomingdale fire department will attend at 7:30 tonight, followed by an Elks service at 7:45 p.m. and a Bible vigil at 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Church in Bloomingdale, with the Rev. Peter Ward, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Friends wishing to remember Mr. Bordeau may make donations to the rescue squad or the Heart Fund.
