Raymond C. Scollin was a World War II veteran who was at the Battle of Midway.  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Scollin of 27 Charles Street.

SARANAC LAKE— Brig. Gen. Raymond C. Scollin, a native of this village who entered the Marine Corps at the age of 15 before he had completed his elementary course at Saranac Lake High school, retired Dec. 31.

Thomas J. Bermingham, president of Thomas J. Bermingham and Associates, realtors of Rivera Beach and Palm Beach, Fla. has announced the addition to his staff of Brig. Gen. Raymond C. Scollin, USMC (ret.), a native of Saranac Lake. After a distinguished career in Marine aviation, particularly during World War II, Gen. Scollin became commandant of California Military Academy. Before moving to Riviera, Gen. Scollin was an executive of Lockheed Aircraft Corp. He now lives at Riviera Beach with Mrs. Scollin, his bride of seven months who was formerly Barbara Campbell Senatro of Riviera Beach.
