The Reuben Reynolds Cottage, (1907) where Dr EL Trudeau, his wife, Lottie and his children, Chatte and Ned, spent their first winter, 1876 - 1877.  They then moved across the street to the Lute Evans Cottage and stayed six winters, spending their summers at Paul Smith's.  This cottage was torn down in 1927, replaced by the Haase Building.

The home of guide Reuben Reynolds; it was Dr. E.L. Trudeau's first lodging in Saranac Lake. Stephen Chalmers, in The Beloved Physician (short version, 1915), puts the location at 64 Main Street.
