Ruth M. Neubauer, age 92, formerly of Montreal, Malone and Saranac Lake, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023 at the North Country Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Massena.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home.
Ruth was born on March 19, 1930 in Malone to the late Arthur and Mildred (Freeman) Rowley.
At a young age, she moved with her family to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She married Kenneth Grundy which ended in divorce. Ruth later married Louis Neubauer and he predeceased her in 1977. She enjoyed knitting, reading, painting, and had a love for animals. Ruth was extremely generous in donating to her community interests.
Neubauer is survived by her daughters, Sally Derouchie of Malone, Martha Dishman and her husband Leonardo of Mountain View and Linda Grundy of Malone; her grandchildren, Emily Brown and her husband Richard M., Adam Derouchie, Brian LaMondie, and Paula LaMondie Shatlaw; and her nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Mildred Rowley; her husband, Louis Neubauer; and a brother, John Rowley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth’s name to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society in Saranac Lake at trilakeshumanesociety.org.
