Born: c. 1821

Died: November 4, 1891, age 69 years, 9 months

Married: Sally Hunter Flagg

Children: Arlo C. Flagg, b. 9/2/1853 in Lewis-d. 4/2/1942, described as "one of a large family"; "Sammy," who died in the Civil War; another son who also served in the Civil War, and apparently others.

Silas S. Flagg was a guide, mentioned in a newspaper article (see Fishing) as working in 1888. He was also an early Saranac Lake landowner, as evidenced by a legal description on the wiki page Thomas Dewey, which cites property in Township 24, Great Tract 1, Macomb's Purchase as a point "in the center of the valley where the old winter road leads to Lonesome Pond near Silas S. Flagg's clearing." He is buried in the Roscoe Cemetery, Lewis, Essex County, NY.
