SARANAC LAKE — Stella M. Branch, 84, of Broadway, died Wednesday, April 29, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.
She was born Feb. 22, 1903, in Standish, the daughter of George and Mary Louise (Cataracte) Delacore.
She was married to Spencer G. Branch Oct. 2, 1922, at St. Bernard's Church here. Mr. Branch died in 1975.
Surviving are eight sons, George of Bloomingdale, Harlan, of Brewerton, Donald of Malone, and Marshall, Richard, Roland, Jerome, and Augustine, all of Saranac Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Ellsworth (Louise) Wilcox of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Thomas (Rose Marie) Glover of Plainfield, Colin.; 60 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
A son, Joseph, died in 1964, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Miller, died in 1970.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Rose Bell of Del Ray Beach, Fla.
Calling hours are scheduled from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Keough and Son Funeral Home. A Bible vigil service will take place at 7:30 at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard's Church.
Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Redford.
Donations in Mrs. Branch's memory may be made in care of the funeral home to the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad.
