Well Known Saranac Lake Man Is Dead

William Hennessey, well known real estate operator of Saranac Lake, died at his winter residence in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock following an illness of about two weeks, in the sixty-seventh year of his age. His wife and two sons, Francis and Andrew of Saranac Lake, were at his bedside when he died. He had returned to Florida for the winter about three weeks ago. The body was removed to Saranac Lake where burial is to take place Thursday (today). Funeral services will be held at St. Bernard's church. Mr. Hennessey was a member of the Plattsburg lodge of Elks. He was born in the town of Jay and went to Saranac Lake to live during the late 80's, and was well known in Au Sable Forks and surrounding towns. His niece, Mrs. Henry Pattno, lives here. Mr. Hennessey had large real estate holdings at West Palm Beach and lived in that city for the last four years. He was once the owner of the Central House block at Saranac Lake, where he acquired much property.
