Adirondack Record, March 7, 1913
On Monday, February, 24, William Keese, a highly esteemed citizen of Union Falls, Franklin county, died at his home in that town at the advanced age of 79 years. Mr. Keese has been ill for about eight weeks and during that time showed great patience and resignation to the will of the all wise providence. He lived the greater part of his life in Union Falls, and in losing him that town loses a worthy citizen. He was an honest, upright man and an ardent and firm believer in the Roman Catholic church. He was a man whose sterling qualities of industry and square dealing won the love and respect of all who knew him, and it can truly be said of him that the world is the better because of his having lived in it. Several floral offerings were sent as a tribute to the memory of the deceased. A large concourse of friends and neighbors followed his remains to their last resting place, Rev. Father O'Donnell officiated. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow, Mrs. Julia Keese, and four children, Mrs. P. Howard of Republic, Wash.; Mrs. William Ryan, Bloomingdale; William Keese, Buffalo, and Michael Keese; Union Falls.
