Wm. Stearns, Veteran Guide, Died On Sunday
William M. Stearns, Adirondack guide and state, town and village official, died Sunday morning following a serious illness in the 64th year of his age. Mr. Stearns was born in the village of Jay and went to Saranac Lake about 15 years ago to live. For the past 16 years he was a game protector and previous to that a professional guide. He was a member of the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club, a member of the order of Modern Woodmen of America and of Woodruff Hose Company of Saranac Lake.
